Sound Healing

How Cymatics can support healing

Most of Nature’s sounds have soothing and healing qualities. The sounds of the sea and flowing water have always been known for their stress-relieving and healing qualities.

Many other sounds are healing: The human voice, a whale song, a birdsong, a dolphin song as well as certain genres of music, all have marvelous health-enhancing properties.  CymaVibes are created using a Cymascope which captures the energy patterns of Nature and other healing sounds, creating a unique form of art that contain the same architectures as those within the originating sound, translated into beautiful geometries as Art, to grace your home, office, or to enhance any environment.

When sunlight or incandescent light illuminates your Art, the light will become imbued with the pattern, bathing your personal space in the architectures of the healing sounds.  The infrared component of light is particularly important because it can carry the frequencies beneath the skin and into the tissues.

The healing aspects of sound are well known for its powerful healing properties. In hospitals and sport injury clinics ultrasound (high-frequency sound) are used to support healing of broken bones and soft tissues, but there is a growing body of research regarding the efficacy of audible sound as a healing modality, just as Pythagoras predicted 2,500 years ago.

The human voice contains frequencies that can support healing and by making your voice visible as a Voice Mandala or Sonic Signature.  The unique pattern contains a vibrational imprint of those frequencies, transcribed to geometry. When light falls on your Voice Mandala it will reflect the pattern, radiating those frequencies in the form of modulated light.

All sounds create geometry when they encounter a membrane, leaving a vibrational imprint that can be rendered visible using Cymascopic principles. Since every living cell is enclosed within a membrane, all the sounds around us imprint our cells with a vibrational pattern of sonic energy. The fact that the wavelengths of everyday sounds far exceeds the size of living cells is not relevant to the phenomenon because every atom or molecule carries all the periodicities of a given sound. Imaging sounds in the microscopic realm may lead to a better understanding of the principles that underpin ultrasound therapy and audible sound therapy.

This article, Rediscovering the Art and Science of Sound Healing by John Stuart Reid and Annaliese Kohinoor illustrates how sound is fast regaining its place as the preeminent healing modality.  Having been first used by the
ancients, sound therapy has undergone a period of re-discovery and is now poised to reveal the intricacies of
healing both at the cellular and psychological levels.
