Cymatics, the study of making sound visual, using controlled displacement of particles on vibrating plates or membranes was discovered back in 1680 by Robert Hooke. In this video the immense power of the speaker shows the vibrations using sand, water and paint on the speaker to create some amazing patterns. Mini works of art appear with with each beat as they change with the music.
