Touching & Feeling Music

Inspired by Cymatics, the study of how vibration produces visual waves, designer and DJ, Dimitri Hadjichristou invented the VI, a simple funnel shaped tube, which transforms songs into visual and tactile stimuli for the hearing impaired, changing how people with hearing problems experience music.
Vibrations are felt when touching the speaker's wooden body, while the glass bell latched on top of the speaker becomes a stage for viewing. The tube is filled with metal bearings bouncing to each beat and the rhythm of the music.
CymaVibes makes any sound visible, your voice or any sound that has meaning to you for a one-of-a kind gift to be treasured forever. www.cymavibes.com
