A History Lesson

Shift2Green spearheads Service Learning Project at The Historic Methodist Campground. Sociology Students from Oakton Community College, led by Instructor Karen Roth, participated in the organization and preservation of the archival records of the Historic Methodist Campgrounds. This ongoing project requires students complete a minimum of 8 service-learning hours with a final reflection submitted to their instructor for course completion. Working with Oakton Alum, Artur Stasiek, experienced in archival documentation, students learned how to identify and handle important and fragile items to save for prosperity.

Service is a method of learning valued by OCC. To lean more visit Oakton Community College.
